For some context, Heat Holders was founded over 18 years ago following a moment of inspiration on a rugby field, setting out to create affordable, high-quality thermal products. What started off as a family business has since evolved into a trusted, household name, known for providing reliable cold-weather essentials.
In 2020, we partnered with Heat Holders to optimise their online presence and digital marketing strategy. Since then the thermal brand has achieved 500% growth. So, how did we do this?
Turning Email Flows into a Significant Revenue Driver
As part of our optimisation strategy, we implemented a series of Klaviyo flows designed to re-engage shoppers who abandoned purchasing at key stages of the customer journey, such as browsing, cart and checkout abandonment sequences. These flows quickly became a major revenue channel.
However, we soon identified a key limitation: Klaviyo could only act on known users. A large number of anonymous users were going untracked, and therefore unmonetised. We saw an opportunity to take the performance further.
Powering Klaviyo with Salesfire AI Connect
We introduced Salesfire’s AI Connect to unlock this missed potential. AI Connect tracks anonymous website visitors and on-site abandonment events that Klaviyo might miss. These events were then fed into Klaviyo, creating more effective retargeting campaigns.

The impact was immediate and significant. Since integrating AI Connect, Heat Holders has tracked 118% more abandonment events in Klaviyo and sent 195% more emails. This resulted in a 100% increase in revenue from their email campaigns.
By expanding this pool of shoppers that could be recovered and brought back to the shopping experience, Heat Holders was able to maximise the performance of flows that were already working well, turning an already effective method into an exceptional one.
